Latest furniture designs from Bear Cabin Miniatures

AIM members Hywel and Julia Jeffreys of Bear Cabin Miniatures specialise in 12th scale miniatures for a Fantasy or Tudor theme. Hywel designs and creates his own unique furniture from hardwood, which he cuts, creates, carves and waxes to the point where he is happy to add them to his 'Rustic Woodland' range of dressed, and undressed furniture and accessories.

When Julia is not busy stitching tiny owl or cat themed samplers and cushions to match the fantasy theme, she happily helps to dress the furniture, using many of Hywel's handmade accessories, dragons and pumpkins!

Latest Kit from Janet Granger

AIM member, Janet Granger has a new needlepoint sampler kit on her website this week - it's called 'Blue Vases', and is Victorian style with a full alphabet, in shades of blue, green and light brown. It's a quick little project, which should only take a couple of evenings to stitch.

The sampler is stitched on 32 count evenweave fabric. The kit contains stranded cotton, a generous piece of evenweave fabric, clear instructions and stitch diagrams, a suitable needle, a colour block chart to count the design from and a varnished wooden frame to mount the stitching in.

The kit costs £8.95, and is available from her website here: http://www.janetgranger.co.uk/acatalog/Needlepoint_Kits_Samplers_for_your_dollhouse.html

If you haven’t stitched in this scale before, or you would like to know what is involved in making one of these kits, visit the FREE ONLINE TUTORIALS page to see how easy it is to create this little sampler:http://www.janetgranger.co.uk/tut_sampler.htm

Joy no longer works on a commission basis, but does have a wishlist that you can add to on her website and you can sign up for her newsletter which gives details her latest dolls as they become available.
