AIM iMag 50th Issue out now

Introducing our 50th Issue of the AIM iMag.

Out now and all downloadable and free to read.

Packed with a variety of topics and projects for you to enjoy, I'm sure you will want to join me in saying a big thankyou to all the AIM members who have given their time and skill freely, to once again put together an excellent magaine for you all to enjoy for free.

You can access the Imag via the AIM website

Janet Granger's Etsy Shop

Visit Janet Granger's new Etsy shop!!

You now have the choice of viewing the miniature needlepoint kits on Janet Granger's main website, www.janetgranger.co.uk, or her NEW Etsy shop, 'Dollhouse Embroidery'!

If you are not familiar with Etsy, it is a web portal similar to Ebay, where sellers set up 'shops' which are all craft-based.

So, it's a great place to find all sorts of miniature items and supplies, and also embroidery kits and supplies.  Janet says, 'I have been meaning to open an Etsy shop for several years(!), but the 'to-do' list always got in the way.'

Now, however, the shop is ready and open for business. At the moment, it has a large selection of the 200+ kits from her range on it, and she is working to put more items on every day. The are several reasons to look at the kits in the Etsy shop, which would benefit you:

- There is the facility to save items you like to your 'Favourites' list, so you can use the Etsy shop to compile your own wish list of things you might want to buy later, to save you searching for items again at a later date. This facility isn't possible yet on the main www.janetgranger.co.uk website.
- Etsy allows each product to have five different image views, so you can see each item as a close-up (stitched), in a room-setting, as an 'exploded kit' (that is, with all the contents spread out clearly in one picture), the front of the packet, and the reverse of the packet, so that you can see exactly what you will receive once you purchase it.
- Every kit shown is in stock and ready to go, just like on the main website, and kit prices are the same as the main
 website.

If you would like to, please 'Favourite' the shop and tell your friends about it!

Janet would be very interested to hear any feedback from you about the new Etsy shop, so please email her at janet@janetgranger.co.uk  with your comments.

News from Kays Mini Dolls

AIM Member Kay of Kays Mini Dolls has asked us to pass on the following news to her followers and customers.

"I have closed down my website, kaysminidolls and moved all the miniature doll inventory to my Etsy shop.

The website was getting expensive and hard to keep updated and since I've had the Etsy shop since 2009 I decided to just use Etsy to sell my miniature dolls and other miniature work. For me, Etsy has been very successful.

I have listed several new 1/12 scale miniature dolls in the past couple of weeks. I have also returned to making porcelain half dolls in regular sizes. But, as always, my first love is the miniature ladies"

Beautiful Flowers by Marianne Cooke

AIM Member, Marianne Cooke recently showed us her wonderful new set of flowers and told us about the inspiration behind this fabulous little set of flowers.

"I recently bought a little collection of Victorian style floral containers made by Spanish artisan Nieves Palacín in my favourite blue and white colourway - perfect for a traditional or a shabby chic modern home. I decided to keep to the blue and white theme and filled each with a different white flower: open, old-roses and fresh daisies for the two jugs, French lavender, begonias and tulips for the variously sized oval pots. They were great fun to make."

I'm sure you will agree that they are lovely and they are currently for sale through Marianne's Etsy shop.
