King Henry by Angelique Miniatures

NEW KING HENRY VIII DOLL FROM ANGELIQUE MINIATURES!

AIM member Louise of  Angelique Miniatures has updated her very popular King Henry VIII doll.

A superbly detailed one twelfth scale miniature porcelain doll standing approx. six inches tall, Henry wears a lavishly decorated silk doublet with braid trimmed silk skirts and matching codpiece. Gold decorated ribbon garters hold up his ivory silk hoes and on his feet are typical square-toed leather shoes. Henry’s fine coat has a large ‘fur’ collar and on his head is a feathered and bejewelled black silk hat. Henry holds leather gloves in one hand and has a tiny leather-sheathed dagger hanging around his waist.

UK RETAIL PRICE £150 (INCLUDING P&P WITHIN THE UK)
Each doll is individually hand-crafted to order.

News from Kays Mini Dolls

AIM Member Kay of Kays Mini Dolls has asked us to pass on the following news to her followers and customers.

"I have closed down my website, kaysminidolls and moved all the miniature doll inventory to my Etsy shop.

The website was getting expensive and hard to keep updated and since I've had the Etsy shop since 2009 I decided to just use Etsy to sell my miniature dolls and other miniature work. For me, Etsy has been very successful.

I have listed several new 1/12 scale miniature dolls in the past couple of weeks. I have also returned to making porcelain half dolls in regular sizes. But, as always, my first love is the miniature ladies"

New Dolls from Kays Miniature Dolls

Kay from Kays Mini Dolls has been telling us at AIM how much she has enjoyed repainting and dressing BJD dolls. Kay explains;

"I have been making costumes and doing repaints on the large BJD fashion dolls for a while now along with making miniature costumed porcelain dolls. I looked into moulds for the ball jointed miniature porcelain dolls but they are VERY expensive and I HATE stringing dolls. A few weeks ago I discovered the Heidi Ott miniature ball jointed doll! Of course I bought a few and started the repainting process as the factory paint was nice but not as I wanted it. That accomplished I began making patterns for removable historical and very fancy costumes. Many paper towel patterns and mock-up costumes later, I was finally able to complete two costumes and underwear and two hats. These little BJD dolls are such a delight to pose!"

I'm sure you will agree with us that Kay's work is truly lovely!

Kay's wonderful work can be purchased from her website www.kaysminidolls.com or from Ebay under the seller name of  little_bluestudio.

AIM Member Showcase ~ Kays Miniature Dolls

As a miniature doll artist I usually make lovely women dressed in historical costumes.  Then a valued customer asked me to make her a Dr. Frankenstein based on Vincent Price and his helper based on Peter Lorre. I don't do "custom" dolls but I agreed to for her.  That resulted in a passion for making "creepy people" and it was so much fun that I went onto to make a Vampire couple, some witches, a Zombie, a Ghost couple, and various body parts. The Vampire couple and Dr. Frankenstein vignette have sold but can be viewed on my website.
The Ghosts in the above photo are currently for sale and can be purchased on my website www.kaysminidolls.com
I still have several creepy people bouncing around in my head but for now, I am back to making beautiful young ladies so they will have to wait until next Halloween to be set free.
The photo below shows one of my pretty ladies based on the 1800's Godey Magazine Ladies currently for sale on my website.
